Hi, Myongki,
For the paneling on complex surfaces, it appears that the component for the tangentincircle might have changed. Looking forward to learning more about it later.
This 3-4 module was a little bit different than the previous ones. Previous modules, you did go deep into some fundamental principles behind the Grasshopper workflow. This one felt more like seeing a teacher writing out history lessons on a chalk board. A little bit less engaging than previous in terms of how the Kangaroo optimization components work. But nonetheless, it was a great lesson. Also, because of the attitudes that your lessons have instilled in people, I am sure now that we, the students, are ready to go after any questions we have and find answers ourselves. That is the most important lesson you are imparting in my view.
I also appreciated very much how you ended the semester with a higher goal in mind. Going back to why we started out this journey so to speak. It's not just about learning Rhino and Grasshopper. It's about making contributions to the important work we do as architects and also global citizens - to make this world a little bit better through our individual deeds and professional work.
It has been really great. Learning these skills at my age and at the stage of my career, I still wonder how beneficial it will be. However, I cast such doubts aside and suspend judgement on it for now. I believe continuous learning and self-development is not limited to learning a new skill or a program but a fundamental attitude in life. Through this on-line learning, I am experiencing how new ways of learning and collaboration can effectively take place across the globe, which give me a larger perspective than what I can normally see immediately around me in Chicago. Thanks again for letting me continue onto session #7. I look forward to the future conversations.
I have not yet had a chance to work on the TOC. It's harder than I thought. Give me some time. Let me get back to you. Your rendering tutor, your formal colleague, our alumni friend is pretty effective at teaching. I am going to start watching the first rendering class module today.
Additionally, please send my best regards to your collaborator Dawon. I've been on doing homework and working with him for just one day but he has been really fantastic! He is of a great and much needed help to have a full and complete understanding of the lessons you guys, as a team, are trying to impart.
Please stay safe and healthy. I hope your parents, wife, daughter, relatives and friends are doing well. Take care and keep in touch! See you around next week at Slack CDMC Sessions.
Please let me know if you have any question, comments or recommendations.
Best regards,
Soo Jin (Steven) Park
